OYS Regatta Vibes 2018 is in the books, and we thank all our daily volunteers, Race Committee and officials, admin staff, Regatta Chair Muna Lallas, OYS executive members, generous sponsors for their donations of gifts for Skipper’s bags and fantastic raffle prizes- see comprehensive list below, contributing sponsor Volvo Canada and Volvo Sailing Series for donations of Helly Hansen winner’s prize jackets as well as a significant monetary donation to the OYS Sailing School – and of course, our competitors for joining us for the 2018 OYS Regatta Vibes. We had racers from both shores of Lake Ontario in One Design and PHRF fleets, lovely sunny weather, great music, delicious food, level and healthy vibes and above all – tremendous racing. Oakville Yacht Squadron Regatta Vibes 2018 – August 10th – 12th 2018

The Oakville Yacht Squadron welcomes all PHRF boats, and one-design keelboats for competitive and fun on-the-water racing and a great on-shore party. Each year we have consistently excellent racing with substantial one-design turnouts – OYS is home to healthy J27 and Etchells fleets – multiple PHRF spinnaker and whitesails divisions and professional quality race management.  This year OYS will be hosting the J27 North Americans and Etchells Lake Ontario Championship in addition to our growing PHRF Fleet, open to all racers.  The OYS Regatta also features a Cruising division, called the Lighthouse Challenge.  The Lighthouse Challenge features some fun point to point cruising and on the water activities.  Racing activities are followed by post race live music, food and events hosted in our Clubhouse on Sixteen Mile Creek in the heart of downtown Oakville.
