New Concussion Protocols for Sailors
- Effective July 1st 2019, Rowan's Law was put into effect for concussion awareness and return to sport procedures. Rowan's Law was named for Rowan Stringer, who was a high school rugby player who died from second impact syndrome (swelling in the brain after a previous injury had not healed). These policies and procedures will be issued from all participants and all ages recognizing the potential effects of head injuries.
